Thought I got a Woody - but no - this is a Sapsucker ... and although the belly ain't what I'd call yellow, I'm pretty sure this is what the book calls a "yellow bellied sap sucker".

Several weeks ago this Dark Eyed (Oregon) Junko and it's mate took up residents in our back yard at the base of a fence post. With bugs in mouth, I'm guessing the eggs have hatched.
