Common Grackle

I picked up a D90 as part of a package that included a 70-200 F2.8.
Took the D90 out for a walk to see how it performs.
These were shot with a Tamron 70-300
Not bad, not bad at all for a camera many would call 'dated'.

A sandpiper - not sure which one. Any suggestions?

Kevin identified this one as a Willet, Checked in "Birds of Alberta" and it could be, we'd be above the northern edge of their typical range but I concur - a Willet it is.
