Is this a shot of a juvenile eagle? Beautiful shot. I would sure hate to be on the business end of those talons.

Juvenile Cooper's hawk, one of a pair hatched out at the arb this year. Its parents and sibling have left, but this one is still hanging about. It was active today, doing low level swoops through the grounds and sitting in trees, squawking.

Ash-throated flycatcher -- very nice; they usually stay hidden in the branches

need another bird id, hope its not a bluebird, nearest i can see its a blue grosbeak??

when i spotted it while on my bicycle i thought it was a Starling.

This is the closest I've managed to get to a Kingfisher with my camera but it was still too far. Heavy crop, high ISO and slow shutter due to the poor light mean this shot is very soft but I've got something to work on at least. Will go back when the light is better.
