Just sitting outside my door. Had my el-cheapo Tamron 75-250mm 3.8-4.5 attached.

There's a family of Great Horned Owls that nest in a tree next to the Yellowstone NP superintendent's house which is in the Officers Row at Mammoth. The adult that I saw was asleep but one of the chicks opened its eyes long enough for me to get a shot. D700 and Sigma 150-500 Bigmos.
