I do not normally shoot photos of birds. For some reason, when I point a camera at them they flee in abject terror. But this little guy let me get close so here is probably my only 'bird' photo of the year.

Finally spotted the new hiding place of my resident rufus, Zippy the Pin Head; he lies in wait and when another hummer comes by for a little lunch, he shoots out and shows them the error of their ways. Not bad, given I had to shot through a 6" opening in the surrounding leaves and the light is not ideal today -- I do like this lens!
