A male and female osprey in a new nest in Yellowstone. D700, Bigmos @ 500mm, 100% crops. Can't get close enough to get a great shot unless you have a 1200mm lens and tele-extender.

Now for something a bit different. I was in the garden at the very last sunset light trying to get some shots of House Martins and Swallows that have arrived back for the summer when I noticed a Blackbird singing away on the nearby electricity cable. The moon was bright in the sky and a couple of side steps put it right behind him giving a nice silhouette.
I took 2 photos with 2 different apertures and focus points (one of the Moon with f/11 and one on the bird with f/8) and then merged them in Photoshop. This is one of those times where Photoshop merging helps give you what your eye can see, but the camera cannot.
First Moorehen chicks of the year,the parents where keeping it under the bushes,it wasn't untill i got home and cropped the image i saw the second set of feet on top of the parents.
