Be kind, just getting the hang of this shooting birds.
We don't have a lot of winter birds that stick around - these magpies however do seem to stick around, much to some peoples dismay. I read that one should just get out and shoot birds, common birds, and then when you get the chance at a special bird, you'll have had some practice. Given the number of shots I took today to get a few good ones I need lots of practice. Catching them in flight is really challenging. But i hope with more practice on common birds I'll be ready for that moment when I see a hawk with a mouse in flight.

Took the first two with my Nikkor 70-210mm and then a little later caught some more with my 200-400mm Tammy. All shots were hand held. I'd guestimate that I was about the same distance from both of these birds, just different lenses, taken a few hours apart.
