I'm at a point I can comfortably up the ISO knowing the result will be decent. Little choice anyways this time a year.

If you aren't certain, They may be 'Hutchin's' Cackling goose, if in Colorado.
( one of four species of Cackling -similar to Canada )
Size looks overall smaller than the Snow Goose with short neck ,short bill, to me.

There may be a Canada in the middle -back.

Yes, there are Crackling Geese and Canadian in this huge group. The ones nearest the snow goose do look to be Crackling. It's interesting how the Snow, Crackling and Canadian Geese all intermingle and even fly together in formations.

Yeah , its nifty.. I had to check on the issue myself, Sibley seems to lump most of them into variants of Canada geese except for minima. Im not sure how one decides which author to go by, those little ones in front could be lesser Canada , or Cackling , or 'certainly not Cackling' , depending on it. To me Wevs looks like lesser Canada , but I wouldnt bank real cash on it. :)

Spotted a pair of cormorants at the nearly dry holding basin in Carbon Canyon park; one was enjoying the sun and the other stayed back in the reeds
