When I have tree limbs fall off that are the right size and length, I screw them to a 4x4 post I have set in ground, not far from my bird feeder. Naturally, the limbs are all dead, and leafless. I call it the "Munster Tree" for the Grandkids.

Here is a Sparrow, (with it's eye on the Feeder) waiting for a turn.

Looks the same to me, thanks for the heads up. I will have to keep an eye out for males; I've not seen this species on the lake before.

Yep. Hooded Merganser. They look like little dinosaur birds to me.

Not as dramatic and great as other birds but a female cardinal going to my feeder on my rear porch. I am shooting from the patio glass doors about 15 feet with a monopod. I am using a rated bargain lens from KEH, 300mm F/4.5 ED IF AIS lens on a D7K. EXIF should be embedded. I have been practicing old time skills from my film days.
