Our hummingbirds have been a little camera shy this year, they are proving to be quite the challenge just to get any kind of picture but I finally got a couple I could post.

This is definitely not my thing, as I don't have the gear or the patience for it. But some movement caught my eye this afternoon, and I discovered 4 prairie hawks in one of the maple trees in my front yard. I think there may be a nest up there also, but there's too much foliage to really see it.

Did my best with a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8, manual focus, and some cropping in post:

EDIT: These may be Merlins (aka pigeon hawks) and not prairie hawks.
