I like that you’re using a greater depth of field. Brings more life to the photo IMHO. Look at those close ups from wev earlier...the much shallower dof there blurred the background to great effect. It shows that careful consideration of dof is definitely important. Good to see. I love this thread.

The problem i have is my subjects are often a good distance away and cropped, so even though i nearly always shoot wide open there is still a lot of DOF for 400mm.

We have a few pretty mallard on the lake,i think its one of this years early broods.
