So whats your feelings on the new V2 ?

When i get used to the different way of working and get some longer lenses sorted i think it will have a place in my gear, obviously ime thinking ahead for when i want/need a smaller lighter kit altogether, todays shots cant be taken too seriously, there where no views i wanted to take just took some to try it and i should never have tried bird photography with a 30mm lens.
Waiting for the EVF to refresh after taking a picture is a pain but thats not a fault with this camera its just an EVF thing, the rear screen is surprisingly good and it handles well so all in all ime pleased with it.
One annoying thing is i found some one selling identical Euro kits for £375.

This little robin was playing tricks on me, just waited till I got the focus correct then it would fly off, but waited a few minutes and got the picture.

With the rain holding for a bit, I went off to the lake to see what was up and had the place to myself. I woke up a black crowned heron enjoying a quiet morning. He told me to go bother the egrets.

Then ran across a grumpy green just as the rain was starting up again

Finally saw the sun (maybe 30 minutes worth) before it became mostly blocked by clouds yet again. Ran over to the Lake park to test the old Sigma 500mm. Without really good light, it's only mediocre. With the sun in full force, it gets much better.

Been waiting to see these, good start with the lens

Thanks, Mike. It's definitely NOT a low light lens, but should do pretty well on most nice days. Still need to do a focus calibration on it. Not very sharp on subjects farther out than 10 meters. Again, it could be the lighting, but I think it's in need of proper fine tuning. In either case; it'll do until I can save for another 6 months for a Tamzooka!!
