@cbay -- The downy woodpecker I have seen a number of times here (SoCal); we do have the oak titmouse, but I have never seen one. What is the first bird -- a warbler of some ilk?

Chickadee. They are very common around here.

Thanks -- the closest we get to a chickadee is an old W. C. Fields movie. There is a chestnut-backed species, but it rarely gets this far down the coast, especially with our drought.
