This is a fine shot. As a challenge you may want to try shooting with a slower shutter speed to get some nice propeller blur. You won't get as many keepers but the ones that are will have more spectacular and satisfying results. Just my 2d. :rolleyes:
Thanks Steve, he was flying a display with a Typhoon fighter jet at the time so was trying to get the balance between prop blur and the faster jet.

Prop blur is a subjective issue. There isn't an accepted ideal for the amount prop blur that is achieved. There have been debates on aviation forums about whether just a little blur, the full ring, or anywhere in between is the best amount, everyone seems to have a different take on it.

Thank you Lee532 for reviving old memories.

Fantastic pictures of some old friends. I was stationed at RAF Coltishal when the BBMF were based there. Much of the unit would come to a halt just to listen to the "music of the merlins".
