These really are my first finished photos. I'm 17 and still learning. That was with the D60, I now use my new d3100. Any feedback or tips would be great

Awesome shots! I think the one on the left is pixelated due to how you uploaded it? Love the one on the right. I would have moved a step to the left to get the lettering on the plane in view. Keep up the good work.

A few shots from last weeks Duluth, MN Airshow. The weather was quite bad, Hence the awesome grey skies. Most teams had to modify their performances, keeping them closer to the ground which made for some ok photos.

What is a budget (max $500) lens suited better for aviation? Not willing to give up image quality.

I shoot with a 70-300 f/4.5-5.6. It's not ideal but it will fit into your budget if you pick up a used one.
