Back from what nearly turned out to be a fruitless trip into Snowdonia, arrived for sunrise to find cloud/rain and then the heavens opened for a good 3 hours, camera never came out of the bag ;-( Fortuntely things improved in the afternoon and my patience paid off at Llyn Dinas as a passing autumn shower produced a fleeting rainbow over the lake.

That is a stunning image! For me, who has never been to your part of Europe, is hard to believe a place like that really exists!

not sure this is specific to Autumn but apparently this thing is called a Sundog which happens when the sun reflects off of ice crystals in the air. pretty cool..
