A little back story about this MG. I bought this car in 1985 & did a full restoration on it. Did the various Brit car things with it, but then it had become a garage queen. In 2000 I decided to install a Datsun 5 speed conversion to make it a bit more highway friendly. When my wife heard this she said if you want a 5 speed why not buy a Mazda Miata? That got my wheels turning. I put a for sale sigh on the MG at a Brit car show & by the end of the day it was sold. A week later I was driving mt Miata with 5 speed. The only time I have missed my MG was when the local Brit car show is happening. The Miata is the best British roadster for me & it was made in Japan!
The fellow that bought it from me is now trying to sell it & buy a Miata. :encouragement:

The white Miata is mine.
Like the front plate. Someone actually thought it was or a commentary on wishing it was.
A very good friend of mine was a Brit car mechanic for 40 years. When I sold my MG & brought this Miata to his shop he said very loudly "That's not an MG!". In fact whenever he saw my car he said the same thing. So I decided my Miata needed the plates that read NOT N MG. My friend has been gone for 9 years, but I bet he looks down from up there & says the same thing when he sees my car.
