I'm holding onto hope for good weather this weekend. The car show I was supposed to photograph in September was rescheduled due to rain. This will be a first for me. I decided not to practice ahead of time as I tend to do better on first-time attempts rather than when trying to replicate something I already photographed. BUT I have been scouring the internet searching for images that really capture my attention and feel confident things will go well. I know the settings I want to use as well as various perspectives. :)

These are cross-posted in my thread. Photos from this weekend's car show.

This first image blew my mind. Looking at the car with the naked eye, the windows were clear. When I put my camera up to my eye, the windows had a hazy, white chalky appearance. So I rotated my CP filter, and surprisingly these colors in the window popped out. I went over and spoke with the guys asking what was going on with the windows while showing one of them the image. He said the windows are plastic. After posting this on FB, the woman who organized the car show said this is a racing car. The windows have to be plastic in case of a crash and subsequent fire. It is easier to pull out the driver. All of this car's images have this rainbow effect.

Here are a couple from Sunday (cross posted in my regular thread). The colors have been the most spectacular that I can ever remember. The unusual thing is the sky was this intensely blue to the naked eye. Usually I've only ever seen it like this when looking through my camera with a CP filter. When I looked in other directions, the sky became lighter. It was the strangest thing to see when not looking through the lens!

The 56' chevvy is very nice but the 57' is the king......

You wouldn't know it by me. ;) I know nothing about cars. What I can say about this one is it was restored to showroom condition. And it's been handed down through the same family as the original owners. They win car shows with it so it's a beauty for sure. :)
