Given current state of the technology, and infrastructure, I don't believe an EV is for anyone wanting to take a substantial trip with said vehicle. Also, a small generator with electrical hookups and a gallon of tru-fuel would be a must. Especially in colder climates.

My wife would love to get a vintage "Westy" for camping, old skool and just perfect. Unfortunately we have no place to park one and too many other hobbies compete for our time. :unsure: [Maggie Valley NC, September 2020, D5100]

Beautiful Frog Eye Sprite Sandpatch. Makes me miss mine, although that was more than 50 years ago. Where does the time go?
Buddy of mine in HS had a 59 Bugeyed Sprite. 😉 Took it for a trip around lake Erie after graduation. Caught fire in Buffalo, Thanks to a UPS driver with a fire extinguisher is was just a minor inconvenience, there was a parts store right down the street and the leak was quickly fixed.
