Went to Cypress Gardens today. I was taking a few pictures of a wood duck with my static settings. Single point, single servo, 1/500 sec to give me the best chance for a sharp eye and low ISO. As I had my eye to the viewfinder, something spooked the bird and even though the settings were wrong, I blasted off shots until he was out of frame. I've been wanting to get some wood ducks taking off, so I was excited to look at these when I got home.

So close


The first one was the shot I was looking to get. Then, 3 seconds later..........

I think if you had < 1/1000" exposure, you probably nailed it nicely.

The image doesn't work with JFK staring at the lovers. Argh! Square Gabriel Pierne behind the Institut de France, Paris.
