Being old skool 35mm and having shot a bazllion well-timed train shots, I haven't often used the Continuous Mode for shooting on my D5100, but that reluctance came to an end yesterday after I flubbed this shot of Amtrak's fast flying Palmetto nearing track speed -- 79 MPH. I took two shots -- this one snapped too early and another snapped way too late. I'm now set on Continuous so that this doesn't happen again.

This guy was in a nice spot on a dead tree. By the time I got my camera out of my bag - gone, but flew over to a tree with the sun behind him.

Both times i just started to look away when i spotted movement and just clicked

I didnt even mind the wing being clipped but the focus point is wrong
