Well I wont post you any of my Tamron 150-600 shots because they all came out very blurd.
Of I went with my wife and her $50 400 mm 5.6 Tokina on a D7100 and me with me tamron and a D810 ...All tested and fine focus adjusted...French bird reserve in the somme estuary ...15 bird hides in the salt marsh click click click and who got the good shots ???
She did all in focus and I got 700 all fury....reason that UV filter I just fitted ...would not focus from -20 to +20 ..take it off ..perfection.
Any body else had this problem ??? Cannot see any problem when I look through it......

Thanks to all who gave advice over the last 7 days...I bought an expensive multi coated filter and it still caused deterioration so I think the answer confirmed by helpful people on other Nikon sites is don't use a UV filter.

I found out this morning that I'm not the only one that gets BOARD at the gator pond. I think he is reflecting on better times. LOL

I FINALLY DID IT!!!!!!!
I think I got a shot this morning that nobody else has taken. If you look close at this gator's eye you can actually see a reflection of me in the light section of his eye taking the picture.

3 from our trip to Florida taken with the Tamron on my D750. What a great combo.
