I forgot you have a D500. Here I was thinking it was a nice image that you rendered technically so well (remembering you had some type of DX body), then I hovered over it to get the EXIF. ;)

So how do you like your D500 compared with your previous Nikon bodies?

I have only had the D500 a few days but my first impression is that it blows everything else I have, right out of the water. IT IS GREAT!!!!

I took this photo to try out the 600mm end of my Tamron handheld at the 1.3 crop factor giving me effectively 1170mm . This was shot at 1/6 sec handheld without any bracing. I do have fairly steady hands.

Thanks -- luck on my part. I was shooting something else and he landed on the tree just across the creek from me. Usually the best I can do is fifty feet or so before he flies.
 
Went to the zoo today since it was in the med 70s. For you Canadians I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Anyway, wanted to get in a little work with the Tamron 150-600 before the Meet & Greet next month.
