Post Processing: Before & After - Feedback?

I am going against the grain and reckon the 2nd image is spot on. Looking at it on an iPad with Retina, it looks beautiful. The colours pop nicely and reducing the shadows allows us to see her happy, smily face in all its beauty. My slight gripe is the PS hand. I would have darkened that layer to match her arm. It kinda looks unnatural to me with no shadowing. Darkening it would also reduce the eagle eyed observers that notice its been cloned from the other hand. Overall, a beautiful photo and if it were my daughter, it would be a wall hanger for sure :)

Thank you for the feedback! One of the hurdles of editing photos is the fact that everyone has different monitors that all have their own temperature values, resolution, etc. So for some it may look great, but for others it may look too warm or cold.

As for the hand, it looks pretty amazing when compared to how it looked when I started the manipulation.. haha ;) - Also, I did make it a bit darker than the other hand, but going too far made it stand out more than I wanted it to. I'm definitely going to play with it a bit more before I finalize the image though.

Knawx, I like your edit, but would like the face to be just a tad darker, it looks a little unnaturally bright to me. Also, I think the horizon is just a tiny bit higher on the left. Great shot and I think you will need to print and frame this one!
