What gets me aboutthis post is no one has asked him what he wants to use the camera for. We would all like the top of the range kit but is it needed?
The difference in price of the 3200 and the 7100 is $400 that could be spent on a good prime lens. I have a 3200 and love it.

At college for photography I had a Russian medium format camera that cost about $50. Some people looked down their noses as theirs were hundreds. The shots out of that thing were brilliant. Snobbery in my eyes has no place

D3200 is a great little camera and could be the right choice at the right price point vs. the 3300.
It was my first dslr.
I bought mine refurbed. Have to shoot some pictures and make sure it's ok before the warranty runs out is all.
I have seen a deal for the d3200 refurb, with an 18-55mm and 55-200mm lens for $399. Seems like a really great deal to me.
