For those of you who remember my shawl post from yesterday. I did give the shawl to my friend, Mary, this afternoon. She loved it and was definitely not expecting it. I think she thought I was bringing over more movies for her to watch.

As for today's photo. By the time I got home, it was too late to go out and find some interesting photos. Also, the sky has gotten so dark, it looks like it's going to storm any minute. Anyway, it seems that I am not at a loss of photo subjects. This is what is left over after a hyacinth stops blooming:

Yes, I used my favorite lens, the 105 f/2.8 micro-Nikkor.

I have a vision of you carrying limp sleeping cats and arranging them. lol.

When I was in Mobile Alabama recently My wife and I visited the Oakleigh house. There was a painting of a man on display. The guide told us that the man's wife had been after him for years to have a portrait made but he was always to busy. After he died she propped him up in a chair and had a artist come and paint him. The painter painted him with his eyes closed but the wife made him come back and repaint him with them open.

This is what I thought of piperbarb doing.

When I got home I decided to take a walk around and see what would catch my interest.

I took a look at the pussy willows. They are starting to open. They also had a couple of bugs crawling on them

I went over to my neighbor's pond to see if there was anything interesting going on.

I love reflections on water. Here are two I took at the pond today.

Finally, I walked in the woods near the house to look for new bear evidence. Last night I what sounded like something large scratching on something. Well, what I found was more bear evidence. The bear has done a real number on this tree. the marks start about 5 feet up from the base of the tree and go up from there.

In terms of taking any photos outside, it's a washout, literally. Right now, we are having a thunderstorm. :( One of my cats is getting very concerned. She doesn't handle loud noises well. Anyway, it was time for the opportunistic feline photo. This is not the eye of the concerned cat.

April showers.... Bull hooey! 40 deg F and rainy. :( The only thing that I could think of is lens porn... I love this lens. It's the 35mm f/1.4 AIS. Sharp as a tack. Photo taken with one of my favorite lenses: AF 85mm f/1.8. I think I have a thing for fast lenses. :)

Another dreary, drizzly April day. Then I had to spend over an hour at the allergist's office after work. Generally, Yuck. At least my forsythia has a positive attitude. :)

Are you getting the same white crap I am? Yeah, we are having a bit of a snow storm today. DIE WINTER!!
Not yet, but the temps never got above 40 deg F today with constant drizzle. We're supposed to get some of that horrible frozen stuff tomorrow night. SIGH. I wish it would just be spring for a while.
