I was curious about an OS X product called PicFrame after reading this review on MacWorld. Since the app was only US$0.99, I thought I would give it a shot. (I later learned there is an iOS version but I have not tried it.)
This little application allows you to create photo collages. The primary purpose is to share them on popular sites.
I randomly decided to take build a quick selection from some images that my wife I and took in Sintra, Portugal last year. I built it around a panoramic image. The app is intuitive - you select a layout then click inside one of the grids which leads you to a file selection dialog. Couldn't be any easier. Since NEF support is built into OS X, it natively supports RAW! Once I added the images I was shocked to see that not only can you save files up to 3264 x 3264 pixels, but you can also save them as TIFFs. You can also save your project. Bottom line: this is a great, inexpensive and dirt simple app that can be used to share your images. The only thing missing is the ability to add text. Well worth a buck!!
