Apparently they've posted all the winners on their site allowing for the People's Choice Award voting. No explanation how you get to vote, how many times, etc., just an alphabetical listing of all the cities with the winning photo underneath and a 5-star system of sorts (do you get to give out 5 stars total or is it a rating and ranking of every photo you want to look at and the one with the most votes (or is it the highest average vote?!) wins? Would be great if they explained it.

Moab Man's shot from Ogden is on the bottom of page 10 while mine from Princeton is on page 12, if anyone wants to throw votes at us. :)

Seriously, though, there are some absolutely stunning images throughout. The funny thing is, as you scroll left and right through the images you get no information on where it's from and no ability to vote. Very thrown together. Which I guess is appropriate since that's the way some of the walks were, apparently. LOL

Could you narrow it down as to which picture belongs to you and Moab Man? :) Hard to tell from all the pics that are shown. ;)

I did mention that Moab Man's is from Ogden and that mine is from Princeton, and given that they are both shown in this forum I thought that might be enough. :) There's only one Ogden photo, so that should do you, and mine is the B&W architectural photo from Princeton.

Ah! OK, thanks. :)

I seriously question the winning picture! Some of the "runners up" shots were far better, IMHO. Oh well. I wasn't a judge, was I? :)

I thought the same thing, initially. Then as I thought about it, the chosen winner was always going to be what appeals to Scott Kelby. As for the Peoples Choice, this becomes a popularity contest. I mean really, who is going to sit and go through all 1000+ photos and judge each on their individual merits.

I'm not crying sour grapes. Just recognizing the inherent flaws of the game some of us chose to play in. Regardless, I'm just thrilled to have participated.

As soon as I saw the winners I immediately flashed back to the shots I've seen in the Kelby books and his courses and said, "Of course!!"

There are some phenomenal shots out there, and I flipped through a couple pages worth and actually gave a "wow" at a couple that wound up being in the Honorable Mention list. Funny thing is, I don't know that I would have chosen the winner to be among the honorable mentions, let alone at the top. But I'm not Scott Kelby. LOL

This is the first time I've had a photo in any type of contest, and I played such head games with myself trying to determine which photo I was going to enter, because I knew what I liked, but I had to start thinking about not only what Scott Kelby would like, but also what the walk leader would like, and whether it was possible to enter a picture I thought Kelby would like that wouldn't get past the local walk leader because they didn't like it. Ultimately, as I look at the breadth of the photos submitted I laugh at myself because my talents are firmly stuck in the middle somewhere, which is where they should be after only 2 1/2 years of trying to shoot seriously. Like MoabMan, I'm just thrilled to be in there somewhere.

All I can say after seeing the grand prize winner is that Scott Kelby must have been smoking one of those funny cigaretts or had some kind of head trauma in a car accident before he picked that photo!!!!! Just my opinion.

Seems some photos generated thousands of votes, while most barely got a couple dozen. 3rd runner up got almost 3900 votes ... from 135 unique voters. Psssh - contests. If you thought Kelby's picks were suspect, the "people" have less taste. There were actually some spectacular shots, but having to weed though them all (which I did) was painful.
