Now ya see.........this is why I ask people to complete their profiles!....with such info as...where do you live, camera used, lenses, etc. I had no idea you were Canadian, D5100Shooter. :)

Errrrr, sowi.... i did have it filled out at one point. Though, there was an instance in which someone thought i was the way i was, because of being Canadian, which i saw as unfair. Therefore, i decided to become "neutral". I am who i am, it's not because i live in a particular country - was not born here by the way. But, okay, i will fill it out again my fellow canuck :)

Some Americans are under the impression that half of this country speaks French. Not so! There is only ONE province that is French and that is the province of Quebec. The rest of the country is English. Quebec is in the eastern portion of Canada.

I knew that. There are many Canadians in South Florida and I have them for neighbors, French and English.

By the way........ I love your bacon.

She has a First Degree Black belt in taekwondo and a Conceal carry permit and that is her AR15 she is shooting. I am very nice to her.

Hahaha...that reminds me of when I first met my wife. We had been living together for about 3 months and I still didn't know a whole lot about her. One night I started jacking with her horsing around play fighting and she grabbed my arm and the next thing I knew I was on the ground on my stomach and I had this sensation of electricity or something flowing through my elbow plus she wouldn't let me up and I was completely immobilized and pinned to the ground. That was the time I learned her dad was an Aikido instructor! :)

I visited Quebec many years ago. Most of the people I met spoke English at least enough to point me in the right direction. One of them got so flustered trying to direct me they got on the bus and went with me to where I trying to go. Great people then. That was in the early 70's.

Yup, a lot of Quebecers speak English because of the tourist industry. It is predominantly a French speaking province, however. And....there are many bilingual people in Canada...much like in California and Arizona and New Mexico, a lot of people speak Spanish or Mexican.

My son loves the terminator movies as you can see. An air soft gun and some photoshop made this a fun "SHOOT".
Caution, thread drift...

It's never too early to teach gun safety. There are several versions of the Rules of Gun Safety, but each one includes:

Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.

I thought the same thing when I saw the image.

Four rules of gun safety:
1 - The Gun Is Always Loaded!
2 - Never Point The Gun At Something You Are Not Prepared To Destroy!
3 - Always Be Sure Of Your Target And What Is Behind It!
4 - Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Your Sights Are On The Target!

#30 and #31 are good important posts. Thank you gentlemen. Definitely relevant especially with all the gun violence in the world. People should respect them because you can't take it back.

Not to turn this into a political post but remember the media is instant in the modern age so we get this stuff crammed down our throats everyday. People have been killing each other with guns for as long as guns have been around it is not anything new. It has always been a bad deal but you didn't always here about it all in the past. Recently I was looking at some stories about Ma Barker and was surprised to learn that there was once a gang in Tulsa called the Central Park Gang that produced a bunch of FBI Most Wanted folks. They were vicious stone cold killers who preferred .45 caliber and their weapon of choice was the tommygun. They killed tons of people and many many law enforcement people because they simply outgunned everyone. Lots of badguys from Oklahoma back then. Pretty Boy Floyd (my grandma worked as a waitress with Ruby Floyd) Bonnie and Clyde I think used to visit from time to time. It is getting better despite what you hear on the news.

Don't stick your finger in front of the gun barrel or your lens! With cameras keep your finger on the shutter button ready to shoot! Trying to get us back on track here.

Has anyone heard of a Franchi SPAS ? ( Semi Pump Auto Shotgun )

I friend of mine, back in the 80's i should say straight off the bat , used to look after the local HA armoury whenever there was a sniff that the law was gonna search their premises. The weapons sometimes stayed at his house for weeks on end, so we went out one day in his car and took one of their shotguns, the Franchi, with us and shot a few pieces of dead wood. Its about all i was prepared to shoot, but man....that thing was a beast
