I used the advice I got here. Off camera flash with flash above tank. I also used a sheet of white paper on top of the tank to diffuse the flash. The paper had a slit in it to insert a mirror for the Fanning out shots. Settings were manual, 1/200, f/8, ISO 200. I used a Tamron Macro (Tamron SP AF60mm F2 Di II LD (IF) 1:1 Macro Lens) lens on a Nikon D3100 body. I had to use manual focus because I just couldn't wait for the lens to Auto focus on the moving fish. I used TTL with the flash (not-manual). I put the flash on an Umbrella tripod but I didn't use a tripod for the camera. I did have to move back away from the glass because I couldn't get the whole fish in the picture if I didn't.
