Photographer's Hats?

What I find funny about this picture is the fact that the hat (being an extra large) show how much his head has swollen with all the donations that he and his poor family have received.

OMG, I nearly fell out of my chair - too funny!
You can't go wrong with a Tilley. I have one and love it. They will be replaced free if they ever wear out, mildew or shrink. They have many styles so check them out.

I've risked life and limb to save my Tilley a couple of times while hiking places I probably shouldn't have been.
Not kidding about the life/limb thing, either... Tilley's are just that good.

If I get some money, I'll look into getting a Tilley hat! You guys make them sound awesome! I love my stetsons, but I only have one so far that works good for photography. My wife bought me another one that looks promising, but it hasn't arrived yet!
If I eventually get a Tilley hat. I'll likely stick with a similar style to what I've been wearing, since I have a huge issue with glare and I love the brim style!
I love the looks of the gadspy hat, but it doesn't help enough with glare.

Cool hats + togs go together like peanut butter and jelly IMHO.
And there's something to be said about the old school hat shops. They're very hard to find these days (nearest one for me is a 2 hr drive), but worth the trip. They have all kinds of styles and can help you find a hat that will look great on your big ole block head. Ordering a quality hat over the internet is a crap shoot, unless you know exactly what you want and what your actual fitted size is.
I always wanted a fedora, but they just look stupid on me.

I'm willing to bet some of you old farts are hiding things underneath those things.
I'm NOT hiding anything, that's the problem ANYTHING! Three years age I wanted to get a little sun for the day to keep things even, key word there is day. I've burn my head many times, but this time I burned so bad that I had blisters, and had them for over a week. I'm talking dime size blisters here not little patches of pimple blisters, have you. And a long with that would you like me to tell you about the headache that came along with it? My head has not been the same since, and if I'm outside any longer than it takes to cut the grass you bet I got something covering it lol.

Tilley hats have a "secret pocket" inside the crown where I store my Awesome. Or, possibly, a snack... I'm not really saying which.

I got my new stetson today that my wife bought me! It looks great and I really like it, but it's not gonna work as a photographer's hat.
It's too stiff of a brim, but the style would be right other than that. Oh well I'll enjoy wearing it on town trips! Lol

The sun hats in the photo are the ones I have. The tilly style is nice, but only on cooler days. It gets too hot. The mesh helmet I can tip back to take a shot.usps postal hats - Bing Images
