Hi, never done one so I went and setup tonight and just seeing what I need to do. facebook-5.jpg

Everything looks pretty good with the exception of head placement. Nice that it is slightly off to the right so you gave some nice "Nose" room but you gave to much head room. You need to move her up in the frame a little more.

I don't like the square crop, it makes her blocky. I did a crop following a standard 8x10 crop with her eyes on the horizontal thirds line. Did a bit of color correction and some skin smoothing/softening.

Her facial expression and directions of her eyes makes her seem playful and that she was having fun being your guinea pig.

Keep practicing and welcome.

Highlights appear blown a bit. Easy correction in post. I'd also bump up contrast, clarity and vibrance/saturation. Maybe put a light on the backdrop (or a hair light) to give some separation and open the lens a bit (adjust flash accordingly). Or next time get the subject to stand further away from the background. IMO, the photo needs more depth. Here's an example of a 3 flash setup. Minimal post.
