Just curious if anyone here subscribes (or regularly picks up) any type of photo magazine. If so which ones and do you get paper or electronic version?

I currently do not, but wouldn't mind and it makes a great gift idea. ;)

I agree with Anthony, way too many ads. Last year while camping I grabbed a couple without looking inside first, couldn't believe how many ads! 75% ads and on top of that they charge $5-6 bucks each!

outdoor photographer is the one i pickup when i see something i like. I really like print, to me a computer display is not the same. Ads, as many or more on a computer.

I get Popular Photography and Outdoor Photographer. I know they are full of ads. So I keep my eyes open and sooner or later a good renewal offer comes to me. I try to pay only $10 or less for any magazine subscription. For that price, I don't mind the ads. Amazon has good prices on some magazine subscriptions. (Avoid the auto-renew option though)

I get Shutterbug delivered. It's only a few bucks per issue with the subscription deals. Print is better to read when I'm sitting in front of the stereo at night.

As for the ads, sometimes I will tear out every page that has all advertising on both sides of the page. It makes the mags slimmer and easier to read. Still, I like ads, too.
