I agree. There are a few that are definitely true candid shots, like the soldier yawning while the whole bunch are marching by, but a lot of the others, although pretty well done, are very, very, suspect. With some, it's a matter of different depths of field not fit, others are just too contrived. I am not a fan of a lot of photo-manipulation like that and then passing it off as "unretouched." It's easier to do with digital images than it ever was with film.

As long as they are inventive I enjoy looking at them.

What get's me with all these lists are they're always such nice round numbers.
Top 10, Top 100, Best 50, Amazing 25 etc etc.

A bit of reality would be nicer...
27 of the best...
69 of the worst...
11 of the greatest..

Great shots, all of them. And I can tell you with absolute certainty that shot #47 is genuine, because it actually happened at Lake Minnewanka in the Rocky Mountains. I used to scuba dive there all the time, and this has happened more than once. Someone just happened to catch it on camera this time. :) It was in the news paper here and on the TV news.

Had to go back and check #47 :) Yes some look genuine and I'm all for photo PS and teh knowledge and effort needed to create with it but the title says:
By Internet standards, a perfectly timed photo occurs when two of the following three conditions are met:
1. Perfect Place
2. Perfect Time

3. Perfect Angle

So by that I would think they should be candids. If they've used PS then it should say that so they can take credit for the time and effort that went into create the artwork. JMHO but I find lots of PS on internet that is passed off as unmanipulated and it makes me cynical when I see things now.

Anyhow I enjoyed looking them over. The forced perspective is great and I wanna give it a try but gotta get my creativity going to come up with a good one
