I take mostly pictures of boating events...and women always want their picture taken as they pose. Guys that own boats always want pictures taken of their boats with women on them. It can be bothersome, but I usually oblige. :victorious::victorious:

Sounds like a lot of fun all the same. Any pictures of these posers? It's amazing how many people want someone to take their picture.

I was shooting at a baseball game Friday night playing around with manual settings and I guess I must have looked uber serious while shooting. The guy who was a few seats over from me was shooting with an upscale point and shoot and he asked if he could take my picture. He took several pictures of me shooting the players on the field. I thought it was an odd request but I obliged because I would hope someone else might reciprocate some day.

One thing that really kind of annoys me is when people ask if I want them to take a picture of me and my husband with my camera. No! I am not handing a complete stranger my $500 camera to take a picture when they probably don't know what they are doing anyway. Of course at this point neither do I! LOL! But it still bothers me. I will get am usher or someone who is also taking pics with their phone to take one of us with my phone sometimes just because it's nice to have the shot with the ball field in the background but they're not taking that picture with my DSLR.

Make sense. How could you be expected to trust someone not to run off with it. However, it is very strange to think you would want a picture of yourself when clearly you are involved in taking pictures. You must post some of the images they have with your phone. Might make an interesting set on Flickr.

I appreciate your story contribution.

Glad I'm not the only one, my DH thinks I'm overly paranoid. Bill, I've actually thought if both them dropping it and of them running off with it. LOL!

As for the pics others have taken with my phone, they usually end up on Facebook to chronicle our journeys. I don't like Flikr or those other photo sharing sites, mine are either just posted to Facebook, tweeted, or shared with friends and family in a Dropbox folder.
