Parmesan & Cranberry muffins

Katie has been baking for Christmas with some Parmesan & Cranberry muffins, Chocolate muffins, mince pies, chocolate fridge cake and tomato soup cake...... all on one afternoon.... Yummy !!!


Nothing special just for setup just grabbed camera and speedlight

A little on the bright side and it could use a little more depth of field. But the food looks good and Yummy.

Thanks .......yeah I was going for very shallow dof as I prefer with food shots and I wanted the lights out of focus and they were only about 6 inches behind. The original was a little darker I brightened it a bit as I thought it needed it......maybe not eh

For me the muffin in the cup really gets lost in the background. And the lights behind the subject grab my attention first. Instead of food I keep trying to see a constellation.

I like the image bright, fits all the colors I think.

Thank for the feedback but There is no muffin in a cup, there was the cakes you see and a couple behind then a few inches back there is a large mixing bowl and the lights.... That was the reason I used such a shallow depth of field to loose the background and to be honest my eye is still drawn to the front cake with the berries in but of course I would say that and I can see some people would see the lights first......but its not a photo I would frame or anything just a bit of fun and took all of 10min to photo and process
