P1000 Jitters

A few days ago my P1000 started jittering when I looked in the viewfinder to take a picture. The pictures look ok but I'd like to know why this happens and what I might do about it. The vibration reduction is set to Active during handholding.

Have you thought to turn off the VR and see what happens?

In my mirrorless Z5 with the VR on normally, I sometimes see the image "jump" as the VR tries to steady the image until it is overwhelmed.

Thanks! It is much less noticeable in the off position. There is still a little jiggle at longer zoom lengths.

It's normal to see some camera shake with long focal lengths.
