On hazy days and smog.

To get clearer photos of say aircraft in flight?
Would it help to use filters and What kind? Or should just change camera settings?

If you don't have a polarizing filter, you can under expose by a stop or two
in post processing you can adjust so you have a clear subject

Wow , and they say the D800e is so much better.
Darn after i learn about this photo stuff .It looks like I'll have to get
a D600 or d800 for upgrade from the D7100.

You do know that you can get the same results with the D7100 as well right???
Am sure you'll agree with that once you've mastered all 'this photo stuff' :)

I have a D600 but want to also get a D7100. I shoot a lot of boat racing and the D7100 has more reach due to the crop sensor. I can put the D600 in DX mode to achieve the same reach, but I lose a lot of megapixels.
