Uh-oh...I sure hope you like it! (it will be on my head if you don't! The pressure is on! :dread: lol!)

I'm sure I will like it. Sometimes having a regular shoulder strap I feel like I don't have the freedom to do certain things. Of the camera was hanging down by my side I think that would be better for me and what I intend to shoot with it.

In regards to the tightening wheel, is it made of metal? I just received it today and I'm overly happy about the build quality.

I really like my Nikon grip on my D7000. A TIP I would like to remind is that you need to turn off the grip separately from your camera or it will drain the battery.

i am a little bit unsure of the nikon grip. thinking of getting one but i am a bit concerned about some people reporting a bit of movement of the battery so it knocks about inside the grip. movement of the grip with a heavy lens, power leakage and the lack of storage space for a remote, and spare card, plus the fact it only holds one battery.

I, personally, have not had those problems with mine.
Do the third party grips hold the remote and extra memory card? I've not heard that before. If so, that still wouldn't be a consideration for me. My camera strap has two of the little memory card pockets on it. So, that takes care of the extra memory cards. But I carry one extra, which I haven't needed yet, along with the two in the camera. One of the pockets could hold my wireless remote, if I wanted it to, but I don't. It's in my bag, which is nearby, if it's not hanging on my shoulder. The looseness that some has may come from taking it off and on too much. I don't take mine off much............. :)

Hello all first post here. I like what I have seen of your site.

I have read about a negative on the aftermarket units in the grip control wheels working opposite to the camera controls. Do the Nikon grip controls work in the same direction as the wheels on the camera?

I will be buying the Nikon grip but I am curious if this "minor annoyance" some have described on the cheeper copies also happens with the factory Nikon grip.

My Nikon Grip for my D7000 operates exactly the same as the camera. Jeff
