That's odd I don't have that problem with mine??I really like my Nikon grip on my D7000. A TIP I would like to remind is that you need to turn off the grip separately from your camera or it will drain the battery.

Hello all first post here. I like what I have seen of your site.
I have read about a negative on the aftermarket units in the grip control wheels working opposite to the camera controls. Do the Nikon grip controls work in the same direction as the wheels on the camera?
I will be buying the Nikon grip but I am curious if this "minor annoyance" some have described on the cheeper copies also happens with the factory Nikon grip.
My Nikon Grip for my D7000 operates exactly the same as the camera. Jeff
