Gresham street is now a flat car parking space. All bits and pieces now. The church pictures was taken at Whitehead Presbyterian and the building just being demolished was Co-Op building near Yorkgate, across from the University of Ulster.

Glad you are enjoying these. It's good to be able to share this part of the works. Where add you living now?

I love California, we did a road trip in 2005 and got married in Yosemite National Park. As for what I do, I'm involved with an NGO called Tearfund.

Lol. You know with the weather here it's about planning more travel. Sunshine in this country is a tale that some people tell their children, but has never been seen. ;)

That may be true but i was always under the belief the west coast of Ireland had the best light in this part of the world, your not that far away from it,any way where are the next lot of pictures was really disappointed when this thread came up under new posts with no new pictures :D love what you have already posted.

I think that might be true, I have been to Galway and Donegal, but it was always raining. To ease your disappointment, I am traveling this week and today I'm at Kilronan Castle Hotel. We arrived last night after driving through Enniskillen town. Here are a few snaps until the weather picks up.

Big changes indeed. Yes that area is on the up. Some lovely apartments and hotels. You will not recognise the place if you visit again.

Lovely shots Derek,
many thanks for sharing them with us... Ireland sure is a nice island :D and well worth visiting.
cheers

Thank you. It is a place known for all the wrong reasons, but yet it is a place of warmth and beauty. It is that I hope visitors see and taking photos reminds me as I live here, there is more to this place than we all see on tv.

Perhaps you'll see these places yourself some day.
