Walked outside to a business parking lot and found this hawk easily close enough to throw a rock at. I only had my cellphone or my Lumix DSC-ZS6 superzoom point-n-shoot. The Panasonic is much easier to shoot with, and the Leica lens zooms 12X. I keep it full-time in my go-bag that I normally have in the car. Gets used maybe twice a year on surprise scenes like this.
