little photo shoot with my son in his halloween costume lol. . .he wanted to be bane, from the dark knight rises if your not familiar with the costume. . .poses and lighting are mimicked from the internet. . .one sb700 with a homemade cone directly above him. . .a small table lamp on his left for a little fill light (and to help with focusing, as i turned all the lights off in the living room for this shoot. . .black blanket background. . .thanks for the looks. . .

I really like the pics :)
Great idea & nice angles.
Could you have somehow reflected the light on his face some more?
As he is looking down in all the pics, his face is in the shadows.

thanks. . .i cant take credit for the idea and angles. . .like i said, we just tried to duplicate some poses we found on the web. . .as for the lighting, i tried to duplicate that as well. . so the shadows on the face were purposely done. . .i think i got pretty close. . .could probably do a little more adjusting in lightroom. . .these are what we modeled after. . .

Your images are far more superior to the ones with the model.Yours' have so much more depth and feeling.Well Done.

lol thanks all. . . here's a little side story of the shoot . . if you notice his eyes on some of the shots there's a little moisture. he actually cried a bit after shaving his head as he was concerned about what his friends would say at school lol. . . he let me shave it on his own free will lol I wasn't the bad dad forcing the photoshoot lol. . . any ways I bribed him and said I'd buy him a "ninjago" toy after the shoot. happy camper afterwards and daddy too for getting the shots.

so yeah I guess there was a little "depth and feeling". nothing like real emotions available for capturing in images. thanks again all.

Great idea and great shots. I'd have liked to have seen one where he's facing the sky...challenging the world! But what a clever idea.
