Today I have been on this forum for one year, I have went from a point and shooter in Auto (with no clue) to shooting in full Manual mode in RAW, even doing a bit of PP and liking it, I know my photo’s have gotten a hell of a lot better and I want to thank all who have emailed or PM’d me help and advice, for this I am very grateful, to others who’s photo’s I have studied and learnt from, I thank you too, and to those who like my shots on my 365 threads, thank you, this gives me lots of encouragement.

For me this is a great site, it has a wealth of camera info and full of friendly and smart folks who certainly know their camera’s/stuff.

Here is to many more years and friends, I will continue to enjoy the forum, learn and improve, have fun and keep on shooting.

Well said and totally agree Roy. I have learned so much in the year I've been on this site and I'm very grateful for all the help and critiques I've received that have pushed me to learn more. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging. Your post about sensor cleaning in your 365 Roy finally got me to quit fixing stupid spots and learn how to clean my sensor and whew sure is nice not fixing spots on every photo :)

Wow Roy if you are shooting such great photos in one year I am very impressed - and now wishing my life away! But of course the one year is no guarantee that we will all be as good.
While you are on the subject of thanking everyone else - may I thank you for your input to my shots?

What one year can do in someones life. Congratulation staying that time here and sharing your photos, ideas, emotions.

In one year time I hope that we all can read "Today I have been on this forum for two years,...

I've only been here a couple months and I've found it really helpful too!

Also really interesting getting everyone elses perspectives on techniques, gear, styles etc.

I first registered with PlanetNikon where everyone took things WAYYYYYY too seriously - I left after a week or so. When asking a moderator to remove me from their system, I got a reply:

"Do you want me to remove your post or do you want to leave the Planet?" !! Self-importance or what?!

Thanks to everyone who has offered advice both to me and others that I have benefitted from also :)
