I don't see a lot of difference between the two on my monitor. Editing is very much personal taste. I would make a few changes if this were my image. I would add a little saturation to the sky, bring up the shadows in the right foreground, and bring down the highlights in the building to bring out a little more detail. I would also crop just a little to bring the building into the center of the frame.

Just my take on it.

Thank you Clovishound, much appreciated feedback. I like seeing what moves others and composition being my personal weakness it helps a lot. Posting here on the site gives me a lot of needed feedback. I have been on a personal quest to find my own style in editing and I think I'm getting there thanks to all of the nikonites

I was quite stunned by the differences in the photo's from the D850, my next project is to do some bird photos with it. I knew it should be different as far as available details, but its seems very different in colors as well. I feel it will be a great addition for me, so far I could not be more pleased and excited.

With the small images it is harder tell as much as seeing the files larger, thanks for having a look!

Congratulations on the 850. As Clovishound said personal taste, so salt to taste. I also think a bit of a crop centering the building and removing some of the foreground and left side. Think of it as having take a step or two forward and centering the building. I'm not sure I would lift the shadows in the right front but maybe darken the left front (tends to pull the eye) the effect would be similar evening the foreground but would still keep the deeper shadow of the tree. Not sure the tools your software provides but something that would give you a touch of saturation in the mid tones or clarity in the same range. I'm fine with the sky color and the bright white that is often what we see when in direct sunlight.

Thanks Jeff, I really appreciate your comments on the photo. In these first efforts I have to relearn a bit for ether the full frame or the sensor itself.

One question for you is did you find a lot of difference in your photos when you got your FX camera? Most importantly as far as editing them?

Affinity has a lot of tools and I'm learning how to effectively use more of them as time goes on. I can easily see how to implement some of your segestions.

Of course there are differences but not so much in how I edit file but what can be done. The biggest area of difference is shadow recovery over the D7100. Maybe need less saturation or chroma to make it look good. I think the trick is always the same as it was to get the best image you can to start with. Just experiment, sure you'll soon have a handle on it.
