Nikon P900 almost blank screen

Hi, suddenly at the weekend my P900 screen and viewfinder stopped showing images i was pointing at. If I take a shot the image is also blank.
1. I wonder if I have accidentally pressed something?
2. I then have tried a factory reset, but when looking at the manual or internet I have failed to locate the correct menu option on the P900 that matches any instructions on how to reset. Not sure this would fix it anyway.

I attach an image of the screen that fails to show any subject on the screen

I am a bit of a novice. Asking for help

Check to see if exposure compensation has accidentally been set to a low, negative number. Or, are you in manual mode with a very high shutter speed and small aperture? Just a couple of ideas.

Hi Jon, First, try removing the battery and memory card, wait a few minutes, then reinsert them and power the camera back on. If that doesn't help, press the Menu button, go to Setup Menu (wrench icon), then scroll to “Reset All Settings” or “Reset” and confirm. If the problem persists, it’s likely a hardware issue, and contacting Nikon support or visiting a repair center would be your best next step.
