Nikon must see a future in CX

Even if its not the 1 series as we now know it,i cant see they would still be filing patents for lenses to cover a sensor they are not going to build on.

I figured mirrorless Nikon would be the future DSLRs or equivalent. I'm just don't think it's their time quite yet is all, and I'm happy with my DSLRs! I'm not sure the change to just mirrorless DSLRs will be in my future plans, if my gear will still be supported that is!lol

If anything, I want to keep adding to my kit as I can whenever I find something to compliment my Nikons!

You don't necessarily patent to build. You can do too in order to prevent others from using, or cash in if they desire using your technology.
