Nikon D800 for Harper's BAZAAR

​Hi All...Just did my very first Pro-Shoot using the Nikon D800 for Harper's BAZAAR today using the 85mm f1.8 G wide open as well as the 50mm f1.8 G wide open and every single shot was sharp and "in focus"...
I now know I am in Love!!!
Will post when it comes out.

What do you mean "first" ???? First with the D800 ???? It certainly isn't your first Bazzar cover... Or did you mean, the first one you're getting paid for?? :glee:

​Yes the first time using the D800...It was HER fist time ;-)

Started my carrer with Nikon, went to Canon, than Pentax and now back to Nikon. Started in 1980...

I am shooting with exactly the same kit as you do, and indeed it's marvelous, have a look here: PHOTOEIL.
The portraits were shot with the D800E and those lenses, but actually, it wasn't nesecerely to have the 'E' for that :), and no need for F1.4 lenses neither...

For some portraits, I hardly was given a few minutes to shoot them, not to mention looking for a decent background or acceptable light (a Sunbounce was all luxery I had), the Tour de France is a true witch kettle...
