Nikon D5100 + Samyang AE

Hi!

Will Samyang AE (chip) lenses work in EFFECT mode on Nikon D5100. Id like to combine Miniature effect with Samyangs 8mm.
Have anybody tested?

Yes they will. Remember that the chip just tells the camera the aperture. The effect you are mentioning is done by the camera's processor after the shot has been taken and will create a new JPEG file of the modified picture you took.

Hi!

Thanks for replying. The effect is not post-processing when shooting video. The effect is instant on my 18-55 af-s. It wont work with my Nikkor 50 1.2 lens. So everything but AF will work with these lenses?

Sorry for not introducing myself. I am an 39 year old norwegian that loves to see things from new angles. Using my D5100 for portraits and vdslr. Hi-speed, sports and bird spotting is done with my Nikon V1. To ensure that my grandchildren will be able to see their parents I shoot big events with my Nikon FM.

Hi!

Have somebody tried this combination with the modal dial turned to EFFECT? It wont work with my 50 1.2 even though I get focus confirmation.
