Nikon D500 Review vs D7200, D5 and Canon 7D MkII

Why wouldn't you though? I can see the attractiveness of the Canon with the DX pixel pitched FF sensor but not the others.
Why wouldn't I... What? Come the conclusion "you should get a D500 due to AF, fps and no anti aliasing filter"? Maybe that's the conclusion YOU came to, but except for very specific category of shooting BIF Tony, in the video you linked to, clearly did not. And the wording of your post makes it sound like he's suggesting the D500, generally speaking. over the D5 and/or the two Canon's when he's not.

That would be directed at me. I will look again at the video, but we do seem to see something different.

After talking about pixel density and anti-aliasing, recommendation for BIF
6:41 You will get better sharper results with this [D500] I promise

then going on that the better choice is the 5DS-R when no action

7:20 [D500] produces vastly better results then the D5 or 1DX MKII
7:37 buy a 5DS-R and D500 for less money then the D5 or 1DX MKII and I promise you will get better results
8:28 [the D5 or 1DX MKII] sensors are good for fast action and good for low light, but not good for detail, Myself I'm always driving for more sharpness ...
8:43 photographers will make great pictures with these [the D5 or 1DX MKII] but it is not because they choose the right camera body
=> This last implies very strong he thinks the D5 or 1DX MKII are the wrong camera bodies
9:06 if you want the results; you will take my recommendation and get yourself a 5DS-R or D500

Now the title might be misleading since he recommends the 5DS-R, but for someone who (sometimes) needs fast frame rates that is not a valid option, the only one that remains from his conclusion is the D500.

Actually I didn't link to anything, it's another guy. I generally think those two are "tools" and am really surprised they acknowledged that uncropped dx images have a lot more pixels than heavily cropped FF image.

The point I was making was how a person with any interest outside of Landscapes or Portraits could rationalize owning a $1500 plus DSLR and it not be a D500.
